Nothing Compares to God

With every bone in by body I will praise him: “LORD, who can compare with you? Who else rescues the helpless from the strong? Who else protects the helpless and poor from those who rob them?”Psalm 35:10 (New Living Translation)

Many are facing difficulties in their lives today. Whether it is due to natural disasters, terrorism, financial distress, sickness, or trouble at home…times can be tough. But in light of every hardship, trial, or tragedy we may hear of or even face ourselves…we must remember: God is always good and nothing can be compared to Him.

Do not ever feel that all is lost or that God has forsaken you…just because things are rocky right now. Regardless of how stormy the seas may be…hold on and trust in the Lord, He will bring you through. Don’t faint and don’t give up because He didn’t give up on us. Furthermore, He expressed overwhelming love on our behalf to give us victory. Read this…

31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?

37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:31, 35, 37-39 (NLT)

Trust in Him to see you through and to bring you out. Your trouble pales in comparison to the Lord. Take a deep breath and tell your trouble, “God’s got this“. I believe we have reached a place where we really don’t have a choice but to trust in God’s Goodness and Love. He is waiting for us to give it all over to Him.

He has been so good to me and my family! I do not have the time or space to tell all He has done for us; but I can say, He has: saved us, healed us, protected us, fed us, sheltered us, loved us…and on, and on! Nothing can ever compare to the Lord!

Regardless of what you, I, or our families may be facing—it is not too big or hard for our Lord and cannot be compared to Him! The goodness of God is so vast, it will swallow up even the greatest difficulty. Give everything over to Him and allow His love to swallow it all up.

Father, when we are facing and even compassed with the storms of life, help us to remember to turn to you. You and you alone are our stronghold, healer, and deliverer. Thank you for ALWAYS being there for us! In Jesus’ Name…Amen.

Finding Our Place in God’s Plan

And Jesus called [to Him] the throng with His disciples and said to them, If anyone intends to come after Me, let him deny himself [forget, ignore, disown, and lose sight of himself and his own interests] and take up his cross, and [joining Me as a disciple and siding with My party] follow with Me [continually, cleaving steadfastly to Me].

It is time to throw it all away. All of the self-planning; self-interests; self-preservation; and most of all, the self-induced thoughts of who God is and what He wants with us!

It is time to seek the Lord and His Will for our lives. As Christians, we are so scattered. Just ask a hundred professing Christians what they think God’s purpose for their lives is, and you will be surprised at how many simply do not have a clue. This is why so many run after the ‘hot’ topic of the day, without giving much thought to how they might fit in the plan of God or even if He has a plan at all.

It is time to understand that each one of us definitely has a place in God’s plan and we need to find out what it is before we miss out on the most satisfying and fruitful times of our lives. It does not matter who you are; being a Christian means you are in the family of God and He has purpose for your life and He is not hiding that from you.

Did you ever think that you may be the missing piece to the problem that stands out most to you? It is entirely possible God wants to use you to make a difference. But understand this, it will not just happen without a definite move on your part to believe God can and will use you and make the decision to get in the game.

Take a moment, wherever you are, and make the conscious decision to pray, get in the Word, and submit to God’s Will for your life…your life and the lives of those around you will be better for it.

Father, help us to see our place in your plan and help us to submit to your Will for our lives. Amen.

Prayer for Storm Victims (5.20.13)

Okay blog family! Let’s pray for the victims of the recent storms in Oklahoma and other areas.

Father, we intercede on behalf of everyone affected by these storms. Bless, keep, protect, and comfort each and every one of them. Father, meet every need, and I pray for the safety of every missing person.

Let every grieving family know of your love in a special way. Bind the hand and voice of the enemy so they can hear you clearly.

Help and strengthen every person helping in the search, support, treatment, and cleanup effort. Give every one of them peace in the midst of the storm they are currently experiencing!

Stir up the spirit of prayer in all of your people on their behalf.

Thank you, In Jesus’ Name…Amen!

I’m Back!

P1000221

I’m back all! Yes, I know I’ve been quiet for a while, but not without good reason; I’ve been on vacation in the Caribbean.

My wife and I took our first cruise to celebrate a host of things (wife’s graduation, our anniversary, just because, etc.,), and to minister to ourselves and our marriage. With all of the demands placed upon us, coming from all sides, we had to take a break for some good ol’ fashioned rest & relaxation…we had a wonderful time!

I pray all has been well with you and is always praying the Lord’s Blessing upon you and yours. Thank you for your faithfulness and patience…I love you all!

Sebastian

When You Feel Weak

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.–Ephesians 6:10-11 (KJV)

Are you facing hard times of despair and difficulty? Please know that you are not alone in this…many are feeling the same way. But I have good news…you do not have to bear this burden…our Lord Jesus died to free us from sin and every burden that will come our way. Just receive his burden removing power in the same manner you received the forgiveness of sin for salvation and you will experience the peace of God that will boggle your imagination. Blessings to you and yours!

Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.–Isaiah 53:4-5 (NKJV)

I’m Growing Up

Maturity (Growth)

Today’s Life-Changing Thought: I will continue to grow in God because anything that is not growing is dying; and “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” – Psalms 118:17
