Giving Thanks is Good

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High: (Psalms 92:1)

Giving thanksgiving and praises unto the Lord is a “good thing.” This is how we keep our focus off of the things which causes us to worry, fear or fret. He desires our praise. We show Him our appreciation when we give thanks and praise.

Therefore, as we go about our day, let’s not forget to keep a grateful heart towards the Lord. Thank Him for your life, health, strength…for your family and for what you have. Those things you desire…thank Him for them as well.

When we give God thanksgiving and praise, we draw the presence of the Lord to us…for He inhabits our praises!

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

Have a wonderfully BLESSED day!

Yes, indeed. When we praise God our focus turns away from us to the One Who deserves the attention. Still, despite its wondrous effect on us, it is hard to think God when we are wrapped up in “me”.
