Receiving God’s Goodness Through Trust

Faith is...trusting God

“Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.” — Psalm 37:3 (New Living)

Trusting in the Lord has to be the one thing many Believers talk about but few ever truly do. However, it is this trust that we must mature in, because when we do, many of the ‘storms of life’ will not have the effect intended. The intent of the storm you may be facing now is possibly to stop you from reaching your destiny in the Lord. Is it possible that you may be right on the brink of your breakthrough…right on the edge of coming out of your storm, but you are more focused on the storm than the promise of God?

“No weapon that is formed against you will succeed;
And every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn.
This [peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And this is their vindication from Me,” says the Lord.” — Isaiah 54:17 (Amplified)

This verse does not tell us that God will keep everything away from us…BUT it does say that it (the weapon): “will not succeed…” In other words, it will not have its desired result. Every fight or battle has a desired result. Our consolation must be in the truth that our Lord fights for us, thereby nullifying the desired result. But our trust must be in Him and not ourselves.

The Bible says in John 10:10, the thief comes only to “steal, kill and destroy“…this is his intent. He is a destroyer, of hopes, dreams, families, health, communities, and so on. But The Lord is on the side of those who trusts Him.

8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

The enemy may have meant it for evil, BUT GOD will make it good…if we only trust Him. Trust Him because He is BIGGER than the biggest; STRONGER than the strongest; and WISER than the wisest! Turn your trust to God in increasing measures because NOTHING is too hard for the Lord!!

Let’s Pray:

Father, we thank you that you are to be trusted–regardless of what is going on around us. Help us to turn to you when things are good and when they are not. Show us that to trust on or in anything other than you is taking a gamble…a gamble that we cannot afford.

You are the only sure thing we have and today, we are making the conscious choice to seek You in everything and to trust You always!

We thank you for this, in Jesus’ Name…Amen!!

    Thank you for encouraging is to trust Him! What a great confirmation for me as I read this morning , “For all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him amen, to the glory of God through us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20
