Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12 (NLT)
Many Believers are going through diverse attacks in their lives. These attacks can be in their health, finances, families, or even their marriages. Whatever we may be encountering in our lives, we absolutely must not give in to pressures of life because Jesus told us in John 16:33:
I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]
Neither should we decide to fight the way the world fights because the world always fight each other. In the world, we are told our problem is always another person and it’s their fault that I’m like this. But that is not what the Word says! The Bible teaches us that our fight is a spiritual fight; take a look at 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (AMP):
3 For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons.4 For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds,
Also, it goes even further by telling us what weapons we need to fight, who we are fighting and how to use the weapons that God gives us when it is time to fight. Take a look at Ephesians 6:11-13:
11 Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.
12 For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.
13 Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].
This is not a time to cower to the enemy, nor to buckle under his pressures. It is time to be strong in the power of the Lord and resist the enemy. He is already defeated but we still have to resist him. So, let us:
Be alert and on your guard; stand firm in your faith ([b]your conviction respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, keeping the trust and holy fervor born of faith and a part of it). Act like men and be courageous; grow in strength! 1 Corinthians 16:13 (AMP)
