Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. – 1 Peter 2:24
God gave us a remedy to sickness and disease, but we MUST receive it and exercise our faith in it…IT is the blood of Jesus!! Like in salvation, the shed blood of Jesus does not free us automatically, it must be received by faith and acted upon daily.
Similarly, when it comes to our health, we must choose to believe and receive the finished work of Christ on the cross for the sin of the world. Notice I did not pluralize the word sin…this was intentional. Although He did die for our sins, but He died for the sin committed by Adam that brought death and all of its symptoms.
Sickness & disease is a symptom of death and God never intended His children to ever be under its rule. Because of this, Jesus paid the price to redeem us to God. Our exercise or practice of faith in this will set the foundation to drive sickness out of our bodies. No, I am not saying to deny the sickness you have or may experience; but I am saying to deny it’s right to be in or on your body…for you have been redeemed from it!

“Christ redeemed us from that self-defeating, cursed life by absorbing it completely into himself. Do you remember the Scripture that says, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”? That is what happened when Jesus was nailed to the cross: He became a curse, and at the same time dissolved the curse. And now, because of that, the air is cleared and we can see that Abraham’s blessing is present and available for non-Jews, too. We are all able to receive God’s life, his Spirit, in and with us by believing—just the way Abraham received it.” – Galatians 3:13 (MSG)
