And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.—Mark 11:22
When Jesus told His disciples to “Have faith in God,” He was saying for them to make a transformation in the way they had been thinking about and seeing life.
Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect. —Romans 12:2 (Good News Translation)
Only God can transform us. Many of us have spent our lives trying to change, break habits, and be a better person and so on. But it is only when we allow our minds to be renewed to the ways of God that we will really see a difference—I believe this is what Jesus was teaching the disciples. Surely, they were accustomed to things operating in a natural, human way of living and being. They had learned “life’s lessons” in their upbringing…that was limited at best.
Our lives are limited due to being dependent upon the things and understanding of this natural earth and mankind. Limits are taught to us from infancy. We are told how much we can do or have and how far we can go. We are told what we can or cannot afford. We are even told what we should be afraid of. But Jesus wanted them and we to know that there are no limits in God—for His power is supernatural. He wants us to know nothing is impossible when we place unwavering faith in God!
So, give your circumstances over to God now and give Him the chance to show you His power, because there is nothing that can contend with the power of God’s Kingdom.
