“…the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, Where are you?”—Genesis 3:9 (Amplified)
The subject this post is normally directed at the man in a relationship—hence the title. But today I want to talk to both parties in a marital relationship. Oh, how I wish you were standing in front of a mirror right now; if you were, I would ask you to look to your left, to your right and then to look straight ahead.
As you would follow the instruction, I would finally ask you who do you see in front of you. Of course, because you are looking in a mirror, you would say: yourself. To that, I would declare: that is the only one you have to answer for…therefore, that is the only one you have to blame.
We should spend our time looking at ourselves and correcting what need to be corrected. If we do, we will become the very best we can be and we will not have the time to look at and pick at the faults of our mates. In other words, “Adam, John, Jane, Susie, etc., where are you?”
Self-determination will lead to self-discovery; self-discovery will lead to self-improvement and self-improvement will lead to us being the very best we can…for ourselves, our mates and our God. We need this, our relationships need it and our world needs it.
So, “Adam, where are you?”

And edify encourage those around us. Whew! That came in so close to home!! And now your post….the Lord is speaking to my heart!! Thank you again!!
