Sept. 22nd—an Evaluation of Me

Self Evaluation

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:5-8

Here it is again, September 22nd, my birthday—my self-evaluation day. Another year has passed and I have to ask myself some probing questions.

  • Am I any closer to God?
  • Am I better as a person?
  • Have I accomplished any goals?
  • Have I reached anyone for the Lord?
  • Is my faith any stronger?

Yes I know questions…more questions. To most, if not all of these questions, the answer is yes! However, there are many more I am still working on. The goal with this evaluation is not to find fault with where I am but to see where I am going. For me, it is important to know where I am is not what I am. Faith is a journey—not a destination.

May the Blessing of the Lord encourage and strengthen you today!

The best evaluation I know comes from The Boss with those words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Hear those here and the hearing is over!
