Believing God for the Possible

Only Believe… If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.Mark 9:23 (KJV)

What is impossible to man is possible to God. What makes it possible is the power of God to provide and produce. Someone once said that “man’s extremity is God’s opportunity.” I understand where they were coming from with that statement, and I am not saying they were incorrect but I am saying they were very possibly incomplete with that statement. What I mean by that is you do not have to reach your extreme to experience the power of God!

Our responsibility is to believe God from the beginning—straight out of the gate! If we fail to do so, if we fail to believe God from the beginning, we introduce turbulence into the atmosphere of our area of operation. In other words, failure to trust God, when facing difficult circumstances—introduces more difficulty, instead of presenting you with the answer.

When we try to operate in our own understanding, and lean upon our experiences, and intellect, to navigate life’s waters—instead of our faith in God. When we do this, we take what is supposed to be a spiritual thing—our believing and trusting in God—and we introduce to it this natural, fleshly, atmosphere that creates turbulence in our lives.

In other words, instead of just trusting God and His Word to make it through whatever you may be facing from the start, we try to rely on our experiences that are born in the sense realm which is this natural world. God gave us our natural five physical senses—the ability to hear, see, smell, taste and touch—to navigate, function and this physical world we live in and not the world of the spirit.

Although God gave us our natural physical senses, He also gave us faith to operate with the world of the spirit—which is where God resides! The spiritual realm is the source of all we are surrounded by in this world. When we have faith or exercise our belief in God and His Word we not only come in contact with God but we also come in contact with all He is capable of being for us!

This is the realm of possibility! The world we live in is full of limits and impossibilities—but there are no impossibilities with our God! When we believe God, we receive God’s power to make the impossible possible! Whatever may seem impossible to you at this moment, face it with faith in the power of God to turn it around and see what happens!

  1. With a life that has been one impossibility after another, I don’t know what I would have done (or will continue to do) without faith that God can change what seems to be an impossible situation. I’m facing one again (still). It’s been almost two decades of struggling to believe God can bring beauty from this rubbish heap. Hope deferred and all that. Some days it’s hard to keep on believing. This is one of those days.

Thank you for reminding me to get off my own understanding and back to trusting in the Lord with all my heart. I needed that little kick in the pants today. 🙂

You’re welcome but I need you to do something. In spite of the difficulty, change the way you see your life and the things you have gone through and are going through. Bless it instead of cursing it. Use the power of your tongue to call it “good”…despite the obvious. Watch it turn around! Blessings!

      • Hmmm. I like that a lot. With the current situation, we know that God has a plan for what’s going on, that it’s a necessary process, and that it is completely in His hands. What you’ve said here is true. We went into it expecting it to be a blessing and it has been.

Oh, that little wagging tongue…and the heart behind it. Help, Lord!

Thanks for your encouragement, Sebastian. 🙂

You’re welcome! Please stay with us, I believe God will show Himself strong in your life…nothing is too hard for the Lord!!!

      • What we’re dealing with began a couple of years ago. God is leading people to total freedom. Today was a little piece of it. The grand finale of this season, Lord willing, will be in nine days. I can’t wait to see what He has in mind!

Believe me, I’m not going anywhere. I learned that a long time ago the hard way. What we’re seeing is God doing some of His finest work! He is so good to us! 🙂

      • Sebastian says:

Yes, yes! Hold onto His hand…He’s leading you into something even greater! Blessings!

      • {I just realized, I’m talking about two separate issues. The one above I was on my face in the dirt, backside exposed and getting my rear end kicked…that’s what happens when I fail to stand. I was getting slammed around (personally) pretty hard that day…sorry for my whiny immaturity. Those days come farther and farther apart, thank You, Lord.

The one below has to do with family members. God is bringing total delivery and healing in a most spectacular way. These are loose ends that must be tied up. He’s faithful to complete His work. In that instance I stood firm and had complete confidence in Jesus.

        That brings up an important point. Why is it easier to believe for someone else than it is to believe for ourselves? Hmmm. Better talk to the Lord about that one. :(}

Thank you so much for your support and for calling me on my half-empty/half full sorry attitude and outlook. Feel free to point me back in the right direction anytime!

I’ve come far, Jesus has healed me of much that kept me crippled for forty-five years of my life. Once in a while I revert back to “victim” – which does not honor the Lord at all. That grieves me. Next time I’ll take that to Him instead of spreading a false image of a weak God all over the Internet.

Okay, thoroughly convicted now. Better go chat with my Father…

        Thanks again!

        Humbled – but dearly beloved,
Praising Jesus who loves me despite myself!

      • Sebastian says:

You’re so welcome! The Lord knows right where you are…keep trusting Him and following His lead, because He has “greener” pastures for you! Blessings!
