The Gospel Changes Everything

14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.Mark 1:14-15 (KJV)

Believe people…believe! That is my clarion call and rallying cry from now on! We must believe the Gospel of God. Paul stated that the Gospel is God’s power in our lives (see Romans 1:16). It is the link or connection to the power of God. No, it is more than that…IT IS THE POWER OF GOD!

If we say it is the link or connection to God’s power, we are left looking past the Gospel for something greater. But the Word tells us, “…it is the power of God” There is no need to look any further for any answer you need for your life and for the circumstances around you…trust in the Gospel of God.

I have complete confidence in the gospel; it is God’s power to save all who believe, first the Jews and also the Gentiles.—Romans 1:16 (Good News Translation)

Far too many Christians are waiting on the Lord to do something about the ills of our lives and our surroundings, but He already has…He sent us Jesus! Jesus came preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. He came to present to us, not just eternal life, but the power of God working in our daily lives.

There is work to do, right here, right now. We have allowed the devil to wreak havoc in our lives, the lives of our loved ones, and in our communities; all because we either do not understand or do not believe in the power of the Gospel—which is the Word of God!

So, let’s forget what we have not done (there’s nothing we can do about it anyway), and make up our minds to pick up our mantle today; and move forward, as bold as lions, to make a difference wherever we are and wherever we may go. Our families and the world need us and God is depending on us to carry out His plan in this world.

We can do it because…The Gospel Changes Everything!

  4. Excellent point about people shaking their fist at God and saying “Why did you do this to me?” when they should be stating, “Thank you for sending Jesus to rescue and save me from this!” Everyone is accountable for their own behavior. We all need to learn to tie our shoelaces by ourselves sometime, right? Stand strong and realize that greater is He that is in us, then he that is in the world! Thanks for another great post. Blessings,

Thank you for this Ellie! Part of the problem in this world, other than sin, is Christians who are STILL waiting for God to ‘do’ something about this mess…when He has empowered us to! Blessings to you Sis!

  5. Hi Sebastian, when we agree with this Truth …The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel…do we really know what we are claiming we believe , yes we are in the end times and the Gospel is all about the free gift of Salvation in Christ Jesus and our heart repentance is part of this because it shows we believe in Jesus and what it means to believe in Him, without this our faith is empty because we are not believing the Gospel, we are not believing in the Name of Jesus.

Colossians 3:4-6 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.

Romans 8:1-4 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

John 8:34-36 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Thank you for your response Anne, but will you further explain your comment? Thank you and Bless you!

      • Hi Sebastian, I’m sorry I didn’t make myself clear, what I was saying is that to believe in Jesus is more then just words, it is heart commitment not just head knowledge. I know you were not claiming anything different but some do and so God is not given the glory for the incredible Love shown by The Cross of Jesus, their lives show there is no real Love for Him, yes we have all been there and some are like I was for a long time but we don’t remain there if we have Christ in our heart.
Just recently a Christian friend said to me that she never wanted to speak to me again because when the subject of Homosexuality came up, I shared although God Loves those who practise it He hates the evil they do, it’s sin, she assumed me it didn’t matter her friends would still meet us in Heaven as they were Christians regardless of what they did, when I didn’t agree but affirmed they still have to come to heart repentance and turn away from evil, she abused me, of course I don’t know if they will come to repentance only God knows their Destiny but they haven’t yet, as shown by their actions. Also a married man who was into Porn and had been for a long time advised me that it was ok because it was just a man thing and only curiosity, another Christian said that it’s ok if we sin as we are only human and will until we die but we are forgiven and have Jesus’ righteousness.
John 14:21 Whoever has my Commands and obeys them, he is the one who Loves me. He who Loves me will be Loved by my Father, and I too will Love him and show myself to him.
1John4:16-17 And we have known and believed the Love that God hath to us. God is Love; and he that dwelleth in Love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our Love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world.

1John 3:9 No one who is Born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been Born of God.

1 John 3: 6-8 whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.

Colossians 1:27-29 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Whereunto I also labour, striving according to His working, which worketh in me mightily.

Ezekiel 33 :8 – 9 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand, Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

      • Sebastian says:

Yes Anne, I understand. Thank you for the clarity on this response. Everyone may not have understood your heart in this matter.

I appreciate you and the work you do for our Lord. We know that we will be attacked but that does not make it any easier. I plead the Blood of Jesus against every evil work that comes against you…In Jesus’ name!!

Wow, this is powerful, Brother. Sometimes I get mixed up about whether I’m not believing Him hard enough–or whether He’s waiting for my attitude to change, or my prayers to be more fervent–before my circumstances are going to improve. For 16 years I’ve been waiting for a major change in my living environment–and I can’t figure out if I’m supposed to “learn something” (that I’ve not so far) or what’s going on. You’re welcome to pray for me!! God bless you and your family–love, sis Caddo
